I have discovered how being totally absurd with my girls makes for good behavior. At bath time I ask the girls to do the exact opposite of what I really want them to do and they giggle with delight as they "disobey" me.
"Don't get your hair wet, I want your hair to stay dirty and messy tonight."
"Make sure you leave the washcloth balled up in the corner of the bathtub... I love the smell of moldy, stinky washcloths!"
"Stay in the bath tub all night long... I want you to be cold and wet and sleep in the tub."
Now I'll need to try this throughout the day and see what happens!
