I love the recipe we're using for our sugar cookies this year. After dropping the cookie batter by teaspoonfuls onto the cookie sheet, you put a glass in sugar and press down onto the batter to flatten it. For me, there is a hint of nostalgia in this method of cookie making even though I don't remember making cookies like this when I was a child.
