Celebrating the Epiphany

We always have a Three Kings Dinner on the 12th day of Christmas.  This year we held it one day early.  Dinner was rotisserie chicken, cous cous, grilled veggies, pita, hummus, black olives, dried fruit, nuts, and topped off with our tradition Three Kings Cake.  The kids made their own version of the star that led the Wise men from the east.  The evening ended with reading an excerpt from The Handmaid and the Carpenter, by Elizabeth Berg, which gives a wonderful description of what meeting these men from the east may have been like for Mary and Joseph.
