2010 04 Printmaking

This was an idea from a magazine.  Take styrofoam and draw in it with ball point pens to create a design.  Paint over it with the thinnest layer of paint that a child can paint.  Then turn it over onto a piece of paper and voila!  Of course, as soon as I tell Hannah to try not to use words as they will be backward when printed, she did it anyway! My little rebel!

2010 04 Happy Birthday Gramma Kate!

Alyssa has been writing the letters of her name for some time now, and now wants to expand her writing skills.  This is a card to Gramma Kate that simply says "Happy Birthday".  She wrote each letter as mommy dictated them to her... and always using her left hand.  She will write with her right hand, when asked to, but only for a letter or two and then she switches back again.
